The Resource Centre is the home of Saffron Lane Neighbourhood Council. It is situated on Saffron Lane and is the hub of our operations, providing an easily accessible building in which to meet local people. It also houses our offices, meeting rooms for hire and quiet rooms in which we can provide confidential advice to residents. We turn no one away, but as we are often very busy, it is advisable to make an appointment to ensure you won’t have to wait.
We offer free, independent, quality-assured advice, information and advocacy on debt and money advice, welfare benefit and welfare rights and housing issues. In any given year we make around a thousand appointments with local people, and our advice workers provide a holistic service, because we understand that people often need help to resolve several interlinked problems at once.
We also provide serviced office space and are pleased to make this available to a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies delivering local support. We offer a landline, wireless internet access, staffed reception desk, comfortable waiting area, ground floor interview and meeting rooms, kitchen facilities and disabled access toilet.
